deCordova’s Museum features a dynamic program of indoor exhibitions. Since opening in 1950, deCordova’s exhibition program has staked out a unique position as the only major non-profit institution devoted to contemporary art in New England. Although its exhibitions occasionally look beyond New England, almost all are rooted in an appreciation of regional traditions of art, craft, and community. Thematic group, solo, and loan exhibitions, as well as those drawn from deCordova’s permanent collection of more than 3,500 artworks, celebrate the aesthetic and social power of the most pathbreaking art being made in New England today.
