Homeschool Scholars: Stories of the Farm & Coast

Join us in October & November for weekly homeschool programs exploring the stories of The Crane Estate & Appleton Farms. Participants will learn the stories of the many people & animals who have lived here over the years from Indigenous farmers & fishers, to European colonists, to local & invasive plant & animal species. Through inquiry and hands-on investigation we will learn what makes the Crane Estate & Appleton Farms special to their many residents & visitors, including you!

This is a drop-off program that is open to ages 5-11 and will include small group work specialized activities based on age and peer mentoring opportunities between age groups.

The class takes place rain or shine, with as much time spent outdoors as possible. Students should arrive dressed for the weather and bring a lunch and water bottle.

This 4-class series program takes place on Thursday mornings from 9am-12pm on October 29, November 5, 12, & 19.

  • Crane Estate: October 29 & November 12
  • Appleton Farms: November 5 & 19

Tuition for the 4 classes is $275 for Trustees Members and $325 for nonmembers. Registration covers all listed session dates.
