About Growing Together: Natural & Botanical Dye Workshop

Explore the beauty of botanical color in this hands-on Natural Dye Gardening Workshop. Participants will learn how to grow plants traditionally used for natural dyes while discovering the process of transforming flowers, leaves, and roots into vibrant pigments for fabric and fiber. Together, we’ll explore the connection between gardening and craft in this immersive dyeing lesson and activity inspired by the natural world.

Growing Together is a new hands-on gardening series at Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens, created in collaboration with Arianna Iappini of Birch Arbor Gardens. Designed for gardeners of all experience levels, this series invites participants to learn, connect, and cultivate alongside one another through the seasons. Each session blends practical instruction with thoughtful conversation, exploring sustainable gardening practices, seasonal rhythms, and the deeper relationships between plants, place, and people. Rooted in community and shared knowledge, Growing Together offers a welcoming space to grow skills, confidence, and connection in the historic gardens.
