Celebrate Native American Heritage Day by hiking to Wigwam Hill in the Castle Neck Dunes and learning about the history and culture of the Pawtucket people. The Crane Estate is home to dozens of archaeological sites and we are excited to be collaborating with MA state archaeologists to continue learning about the rich history of our site. Learn about this important work and the untold histories that it is uncovering, while enjoying the unparalleled beauty of the Crane Estate dune trails.
Please be prepared for a ~2.5 hour, 3 mile hike, across soft sand with moderate elevation gain. Due to soft sand and many hilly dunes, trail difficulty is Moderate.
