Farm Camp at TFI provides the opportunity for teens to gain valuable job experience working with children in an outdoor setting and allows teens to be positive role models for younger campers. Counselors in Training (CITs) assist camp counselors with camp activities, actively lead games and activities with campers, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all the children at camp.
CITs must be between 14-17 years of age during the camp sessions they attend. CITs are required to participate in a minimum of two consecutive sessions of camp. Before beginning to work with campers, CITs complete a required farm orientation and staff training.
Each CIT completes a guided camper activity from planning and development to implementation. CITs are mentored and evaluated by the Assistant Camp Director, who provides insightful feedback to further the CIT’s job and career interests.
Please click on “CIT Information & Application” in the left sidebar for more information and to apply.
My child LOVED the new experiences and empowerment of completing farm chores, cooking, creating crafts, and learning new farm knowledge!

My camper was excited to go to camp each day and was sad when it was over. That is a very telling sign of a great week! Thank you for offering my son such a wonderful experience.
