For kids who enjoy animals, growing food, cooking, and exploring the natural world.
Farmer, Forester, Chef! Camp at historic Powisset Farm in Dover is about getting outside, spreading wings, expanding senses, fostering imagination, and digging in. Campers become farmers on our scenic 109-acre working farm, foresters on our trails and at neighboring Noanet Woodlands, and chefs in our signature teaching kitchen. Our program for ages 6–11 is inspired by this exceptional property and builds on The Trustees’ expertise in nature conservation, historic landscapes, regenerative agriculture, and farm-fresh culinary exploration.
Registration for everyone opens on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 12PM.

Camp Registration
Every day campers enjoy farm-based activities that align with our environmental education mission. Campers will go home each afternoon with stories about their new barnyard and camp buddies!
On the Farm
Each day, our junior farmers learn about where food comes from—both plants and livestock—by participating in activities as varied as composting, planting, harvesting, and preparing soil for crops. They get to know the most important members of our farm team—pigs, sheep, goats, and rabbits—by caring for the animals and learning about animal life on our working CSA farm.
In the Kitchen
Because great farming translates into fantastic food, our junior chefs learn about healthy, farm-fresh ingredients while preparing delicious recipes each day in Powisset’s fully equipped teaching kitchen or at our unique outdoor kitchen. In addition to immediately indulging in their creations, campers bring recipes home to share with families. Note: campers still bring their own lunch to camp every day.
In the Woods
Junior forester days focus on exploring our natural world. Younger campers visit Powisset’s extensive nature trails while older campers may explore neighboring Noanet Woodlands, where they hike the hills and trails and discover the wonders of woodland flora and fauna.
Farmer, Forester, Chef! is designed for campers who love the outdoors, caring for farm animals, cooking in the kitchen, getting their hands dirty, connecting to the land, using their imagination, and tapping into their resilience no matter the weather. A team of talented, compassionate, and energetic educators support campers in their quest to connect to the natural world and find their place within it.
