Designed to be a comprehensive resources that can engage, inform, and spark dialogue and action, this report pinpoints climate-based threats and highlights solutions for adaptation and resilience. The inaugural State of the Coast report, released in summer 2020, examined 13 coastal zone communities on the North Shore. This was followed by an Islands-focused report released in summer 2021, exploring Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and the Elizabeth Islands. In 2022 this report focused on the South Coast region, and the Massachusetts communities bordering Buzzards Bay and Narragansett Bay.
