Fall 2026 homeschool programs at The Crane Estate & Appleton Farms will engage children ages 5-11 in hands-on, place-based learning that challenges the body & mind. Families can choose to sign up for 1 or more of 4 unique four-week-long sessions:
Homeschool Adventures: Tuesdays from 1-4pm focusing on physical education and outdoor skills
Homeschool Scholars: Thursdays from 9am-12pm focusing on academics and inquiry-based learning
Homeschool Scholars: Seasonal Rhythms
Join us in October for weekly homeschool programs exploring the seasonal rhythms of the trails, woodlands, farm fields, and coastlines of the Crane Estate and Appleton Farms! October is a great time to see how nature is changing and getting ready for winter. Participants will explore the coastline, trails, and woodlands of The Crane Estate & Appleton Farms, while making observations, taking measurements, and learning how scientists study nature as the seasons change.
This is a drop-off program that is open to ages 5-11 and will include small group work specialized activities based on age and peer mentoring opportunities between age groups.
The class takes place rain or shine, with as much time spent outdoors as possible. Students should arrive dressed for the weather and bring a lunch and water bottle.
This 4-class series program takes place on Thursdays from 9am-12pm on October 1, 8, 15, & 22.
Tuition for the 4 classes is $275 for Trustees Members and $325 for nonmembers. Registration covers all listed session dates.
