About An Afternoon of Poetry

Join the New England Poetry Club amidst the beautiful landscape of the Fruitlands hillside for an afternoon of poetry sharing their work in a setting steeped in literary history.

Founded in 1915, the New England Poetry Club has long championed poets with ties to the region, offering readings, workshops, and annual contests that celebrate the art of poetry.

Make a day of it—arrive early or linger after the reading to explore the grounds. You can also deepen your visit by visiting our historic spaces and collection. Learn more and purchase admission here. Admission to the Museum is not included with An Afternoon of Poetry.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact Fruitlands Museum 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
