Preschool Farm Explorers

Calling all preschoolers! Fall is here, and our farm is looking beautiful. Your little farm explorers will become fully immersed in what life is like here at Powisset Farm. Every other Thursday morning will have a different theme including “What Plants Need to Grow” or “Life under a Log.” Activities may include planting seeds, searching for decomposers under rocks, and other age-appropriate hands-on farm “chores,” as well as art projects and stories. Little explorers are welcome to attend each week for new experiences!

This program is recommended for children aged 2 years 9 months to age 5. Adult supervision is required; this is not a drop off program. Little farmers and their grownups should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. Fee covers one day for one adult and child. Younger siblings between 1 and 2.9 years are welcome with an additional fee of $4/$8 for member/nonmembers. Siblings under age 1 can attend at no additional cost.

Registration closes two days prior to the program. If it is within two days and you wish to register, please email or call 508.785.0339 to find out if there is space remaining. Space is limited for this event. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins not accepted.

Please note: Participants will be asked to follow Covid-19 related guidelines, including wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance. Hand-washing stations and/or hand sanitizer will be provided, and guests will be asked to clean their hands before and after our programs. Participants will also be asked to provide contact information in case of a need for contract tracing. If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another program within two weeks of the cancellation.

To cancel a reservation, please contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.

Kiddos in the Kitchen

Our Kiddos in the Kitchen series is a fun introduction to baking for little chefs. Events range from baking cupcakes and holiday cookies to cooking up a Mexican meal and homemade crackers.

This drop-off class is designed for children ages 7-12. Class is limited to 10 students to allow for social distancing. Pre-registration is required 2 days prior to a class or event. If it is within 2 days and you wish to register, please email or call 508.785.0339 to find out if there is space remaining.

Cancellation Policy: In the event that a program is canceled due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible by email and issue you a full refund or transfer into another program within 14 days of the cancellation. If you cannot attend a program as planned, contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be granted for registration cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. We offer transfers to other classes or events with 48 hours cancellation of the class.
