Have you been to one of our Farm Stores recently? With more than just a literal fresh coat of paint, they are places where local growers and artisans can be discovered and shoppers can find an extensive variety of both locally produced and Trustees Grown products.
The Farm Stores at Appleton Farms in Ipswich, Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, Weir River Farm in Hingham, and Powisset Farm in Dover have been reimagined and feature an emphasis on New England products, locally and organically grown food that is ethically produced, and vendors with businesses that are predominantly minority- and women-owned. These areas of focus provide a way to offer value to visitors while giving vendors exposure that has led to their goods being sold at major grocery chains.
“Guests at our farm stores can now enjoy a ‘Consume with Care’ curated shopping experience that’s totally different than what we’ve offered in previous years,” says Jay Adams, Director of Retail Strategy. “We’re so excited to have visitors back at our reimagined farm stores while also being champions for our amazing vendors with whom we’ve been so conscientious in partnering.”
Our farm stores are welcoming community resources designed to nourish family and friends with certified organic produce, pasture-raised meat, farm-fresh eggs, and other products such as soups, baked goods, and pantry staples and specialty foods from neighboring and local farms. Our children’s products, toys, and gifts for the home are sustainable and created by women- and minority-owned enterprises.
In addition to that carefully curated merchandise from local artisans, the farm stores also serve as our primary outlet for all of our Trustees Grown organic produce, pasture-raised meats and eggs. Our expert agriculture team believes in farming with an eye towards stewarding the land and protecting our natural resources. When you purchase our Trustees Grown products, you are supporting local, sustainable farming practices that benefit your health and the health of our planet.
