About Foundations and History at Ward Reservation
Join local historian and author Jane Cairns for this walk and learn about the early history of a piece of Andover that is now part of the Ward Reservation. The stone foundations on the southern edge of the Reservation near Tucker Road continue to spark interest and curiosity. Jane’s talk will shed light on Andover’s early settlement, the lives of the Tucker family, their Holt forebears, and the families’ Revolutionary and Civil War service, through Charles and Mable Ward’s donation of the property to the Trustees in 1940.
Please note, this is a family friendly event for anyone over 10 years old. Dress for walking across potentially wet fields and please leave pets at home for this event.
