Discover the art of working with wool at Weir River Farm in this immersive, hands-on felting experience celebrating our beloved flock of sheep!
During this workshop, guests will enjoy an up-close introduction to the farm’s sheep and learn about the important role sheep play in sustainable fiber production. Participants will explore the journey of wool from fleece to finished fiber, including how wool is cleaned, processed, and prepared for crafting.
The program continues with a guided felting demonstration where you’ll receive all the tools, materials, and instruction needed to create your own felted wool project to take home. This workshop offers a fun and creative introduction to the versatility of wool and participants will leave with a handmade piece inspired by life on the farm!
This program is geared towards adults, however, interested children ages 10+ are welcome with an accompanying adult.
