Learn how to use your harvest from the garden to make natural plant dyes!
Participants will work with 100% cotton bandanas and ground Marigold flowers during this hands on dye workshop. Individuals will receive an in depth intro to the Natural Dye process from mordant to dye, leaving with their own one of a kind dyed bandana. All materials are provided, dress comfortably.

The class will be led by local textile artist Fatima Janneh. Fatima is a Gambian American interdisciplinary, textile artist. She works primarily within West African Natural Dye tradition. For more information on her work visit https://www.fatimaknits.com/
The Leland Cooperative garden is located in 6 Leland St, Jamaica Plain, an 11 minute walk from the Forest Hills Orange line station. On site parking is also available.
