Winter squash and pumpkins are key food sources for growers in our climate, providing a nutritious, late-season harvest that stores well into winter. Join us to harvest and taste-test two kinds of squash: New England Pie Pumpkin and Jamaican Pumpkin (a.k.a. Calabaza).
City Natives Plant Nursery is located at 30 Edgewater Dr. in Mattapan, a short walk from the Mattapan center bus and trolley stop. Street parking is also available. This workshop will take place during our weekly free food distribution initiative hosted by PanLyfe. Participants are invited to walk the grounds of the nursery before or after the workshop.
This workshop is free and open to all. No registration necessary. Email Lacey at lberg@thetrustees.org for weather related updates.
