About Full Moon Hike

Join Ranger Robert for a guided Full Moon Hike at Bartholomew’s Cobble. Held during each full moon, this 1.5-hour evening adventure follows the tractor path to the top of Hurlburt’s Hill under the light of the moon.

Along the way, participants will experience the Cobble after dark while learning about nocturnal wildlife and nighttime activity in the area. Guests will stop to listen for owls and may even hear responses as Ranger Robert demonstrates owl calling techniques during the hike.

This 1.3-mile round-trip hike features approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain and is considered moderate in difficulty. A headlamp or flashlight is strongly recommended, and hiking poles may be helpful for the climb. Robert will also review nighttime hiking safety tips before the group sets out.

Perfect for hikers, wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Cobble beneath the full moon.
