About Scenic Songs: A Hiking Concert with Forsyth

Calling all hiking enthusiasts and music lovers! Join us on the trail with incredible performing artists for guided hikes and intimate live music experiences like no other. These unplugged and acoustic shows are unique opportunities to enjoy live music in community and nature.

On July 12, join Forsyth on the trail at World’s End.

Forsyth (Kate Knudsvig, Kat Wallace, Erin Hogan, and Helen Kuhar) is a democratic collective of musicians, where each member’s voice adds an equal thread to the group’s tapestry. With four voices as their canvas, they combine their individual talents into a shared interpretation, bringing fresh energy to the timeless melodies of the Celtic tradition. Inspired by the haunting soundscapes of Lankum and Ye Vagabonds, Forsyth invites listeners to explore the vibrant tapestry of every song and story.

World’s End Reservation Trail Hike Details: Easy-to-Moderate

This 2 to 2.5 mile hike will take participants around the first drumlin, past Planters Hill, over “The Bar,” and onto the second World’s End drumlin. We will stop mid-way after walking along one of our most popular trails, to enjoy Forsyth’s unplugged acoustic set against the backdrop of the Boston Harbor. This route includes some moderate inclines and periods on uneven ground.

Trail snacks provided. We recommend that guests bring a portable camp stool or blanket for seating during the live music set. We will also have a limited number of camp stools available for use.

Parking is included in your program ticket and there are public restrooms available at the Wakeman O’Donnell Center.

Please note, audience size for this intimate offering is limited and pre-registration is required.

We are pleased to be collaborating with Passim for the 2026 Scenic Songs Series. Passim is a nonprofit arts organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where music, community, and curiosity come together. For more than 65 years, Passim has championed folk and roots musicians, nurtured emerging artists, and created intimate spaces where audiences can experience live music up close. Through concerts, classes, and community programs, Passim keeps folk music vibrant and evolving while staying true to its belief that music is most powerful when it brings people together. Passim’s mission extends far beyond its historic listening room. The organization is committed to building community through music wherever people gather, whether in classrooms, neighborhood spaces, or partnerships, like this one, that bring artists into new environments.
