Join us for a series of artist-led workshops at Fruitlands as part of The Land Tells Our Stories, a state-wide exhibit of outdoor sculpture.
This workshop will focus on the work of Posey Moulton and her use of “Ghost Gear” – recycled and reclaimed fishing gear that she forms into large-scale, interactive sculptures. One of her installations, Second Wind, can be found at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate this season, bringing attention to the unique habitats and landscapes of the Great Marsh and the Essex River, as well as Castle Hill architecture.
Inspired by Posey’s artistic process, we’ll be creating our own aquatically inspired hanging sculptures using reclaimed “Ghost Gear” and natural materials. These whimsical creations can be used as windchimes or simply hung as a statement decoration!
This workshop is recommended for those aged 12 and up. Advanced registration is required. Tickets to this workshop include Museum admission for the day.
