What happens to the garden in winter? This hike will start with a story & discussion, and then we will head out on the trails and through the gardens at Long Hill to learn about plant life cycles and how gardens and forests go dormant in the winter to prepare for the next growing season ahead.
Series Description:
The Family Explorer hiking series will get you and your young explorers outside and moving at Trustees properties across the Northeast Region. These family-friendly hikes cover less ground to accommodate smaller strides and have more frequent stops to look, listen, and learn from our Outdoor Guides. Some hikes will start with a story, hands-on demonstration, or explorers’ challenge to spark curiosity before hitting the trail.
Sign up for one, or get a discount if you sign up for three or more in the series. Contact Craneoutdoors@thetrustees.org for discount code.
