Janelle Woods-McNish currently serves as the Chief Marketing & Diversity Officer. In this role, she oversees marketing and communications, membership, and customer relationship management, while continuing to focus on The Trustees’ diversity, belonging, equity, and inclusion (DBIE) strategy, volunteerism, and community impact.
Previously, Janelle served as the Vice President of Community Impact. Janelle joined The Trustees in 2020 as Managing Director of Community Impact in the Places and Engagement department and was promoted to Vice President in 2022.
Prior to joining The Trustees, Janelle served as Director of Service and Giving at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation for 13 years.
Over the course of her 16-year career Janelle has lead teams, operations and strategies across DEI, Employee Engagement, Volunteerism and Community Engagement.
Outside of The Trustees, Janelle serves Boys & Girls Club Board of Trustees, and is an Advisory Council Member and Corporator for Needham Bank. She also serves as the Boston Chapter President for Jack and Jill of America, Inc and a former Board member of City Year Greater Boston Board of Directors.
Janelle is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Boston College where she received her B.B.A in Marketing and International Business and Master of Arts in Higher Education respectively. She also earned an MBA from Simmons College.
She resides in Dorchester, Massachusetts with her husband, Hansley, and twins, Jasmine and Sheridan.
