TFI Cooks

Join us in our culinary classroom for a delicious hands-on experience.

What Do We Offer?

Excite your senses, expand your palate and broaden your cooking repertoire, with hands-on cooking classes for adults, children, and couples.

Adult Cooking Classes & Workshops We offer a variety of hands-on cooking classes and workshops with a team of skilled local chefs. Summer classes focus on the bounty from the farm, including classes such as weekly Cooking From the Island: a harvest to dinner experience, Beach Plum Jelly Making, and Farm Fresh Pasta. All dinner classes end with a shared meal on our porch as the sun sets over the Katama plains.

Winter is a great time to learn a new skill in one of our workshops such as Fermentation 101, Artisanal Breads of the World, or Butchery Basics: Sausage Making.

Whether high summer or the darkest days of winter, classes always focus on the rhythm of the seasons and feature what is locally available. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.

Kids & Family Programs

Get the kiddos in the kitchen! TFI offers hands-on classes for kids starting at age four. Classes are generally themed including holidays, vacation week programming, and of course, kid favorites. We also occasionally offer parent-child programming to get cooking together.

School Programs

Join us in the culinary classroom as we offer various field trips for children of all ages. To inquire about school groups, please contact Lily Robbins, Education Manager at LRobbins@thetrustees.org
