The Appleton Farm Store is open year-round to the public and showcases our own organic produce, 100% grass-fed beef and pastured meat, as well as a curated selection of local goods, artisan crafts, and specialty items.
Trustees Grown certified organic vegetables and pastured meat and poultry are available for purchase in our farm store or by joining one of our CSAs. Access to healthy, regeneratively farmed food is an important part of the Appleton Farms mission. In addition to being the largest private owner of farmland in Massachusetts, The Trustees operates multiple production farms where visitors can learn about the land and the natural cycles we depend on, visit the animals, share experiences, and enjoy farm fresh products.
Our culinary team works from the land year-round to produce a variety of baked goods, prepared foods, and specialty items for our farm store. By showcasing Trustees grown products, along with other local sustainable ingredients we endeavor to bring our farm to your table. A rotation of soups, stews & broths are always on hand. Our famous butter-crust pot pies and farm egg quiche showcase a variety of farm-grown vegetables. In addition to these staple items, our team creates a variety of unique features, snacks, spreads, and treats throughout all seasons.
Special pre-order holiday offerings punctuate the year with family favorites & comfort foods that are true labors of love from our team.
Daily baked breads & pastries are a highlight of our culinary program. We use flour sourced from local millers in Hadley, MA, who partner with regenerative grain farmers in CT & NY. As a working-laboratory both in our farm and our kitchen, we are experimenting with Appleton grown grains and different ratios to continually enhance our bread program. We offer classic sourdough all days of the week, in addition to specialty breads highlighting ingredients and flavors fitting the season. Bread is available in set quantities for the day based on our morning bake.
