Welcome to Special Places
Welcome to the online edition of Special Places. This quarterly publication exclusively for Trustees Members is designed to help you discover and enjoy Trustees special places, find programs and events, and learn about the latest Trustees news and information.
At the heart of the Trustees mission is a powerful belief: the landscapes the organization protects are “for everyone.” But what does this promise mean when some special places are still out of reach for certain communities?
The Trustees’ stewardship and trails teams work tirelessly across our special places to invest in and maintain these spaces for visitor enjoyment. To provide a glimpse of the vast work being done across the state, we sat down with Joshua Reynolds, Central & Valley Region Trails Specialist, to learn more about what a day is like for him and his colleagues.
As native plants take root at Trustees properties, visitors and gardeners are finding inspiration, tranquility, and connection in these shared special spaces.
Settle into a beautiful New England fall with events on our farms, trails, Halloween fun, and more.
What’s happening at The Trustees? See how students spent the summer interning on Martha’s Vineyard or exploring the state as part of our Waterfront Ambassadors Program, see how we celebrated Elizabeth Freeman in Sheffield, and more.
