About Indigo Shibori Dye Workshop

Shibori is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique where fabric is folded, bound, or compressed before submerging it in indogo dye, creating unique organic and geometric patterns.

In this workshop, led by Michelle Blanchette, participants will learn about the indigo dyeing process and use a mix of shibori methods to create their own unique peices to take home.

This beginner friendly workshop will go over all the techiques needed for the project as well as time to create on your own! All skill levels are welcome!

All materials for this project will be provided, but feel free to bing your own natural fiber garments/fabric to dye.

Space is limited, advanced registration is required.

Tickets to this workshop include Museum admission for the day.
