About Decorative Arts and Architecture at The Ashley House: A Curator’s Tour

Join Curatorial Fellow Livy Scott for a special tour of The Ashley House focused on the home’s outstanding architectural features and period collections, including Ashley family belongings and a spectacular array of regional redware and stoneware pottery. Learn about Livy’s research into this home, its free and enslaved occupants, and highlights of the impressive decorative arts collection.

The tour requires walking and standing for 1 hour and climbing a steep spiral staircase. There are no public restrooms at this site, please stop by the nearby Bartholomew’s Cobble Ranger Station instead.
