About Sip and String: Whimsical Wind Chimes

Wind chimes exist at the intersection of sculture and sound, creating lilting melodies from the intermingling of the breeze and the dangling elements of the chimes. Inspired by these connections, and Paul Matisse’s The Musical Fence, on view now outside our Gift Shop and Cafe Building, we’ll be using found objects, materials collected from the Sculture Park grounds, and delicate metal chimes, we’ll be creating our own symphonic scultpural creations! Perfect for hanging from a window, porch, or out in your back yard!

This beginner friendly workshop will go over all the techiques needed for the project as well as time to create your own windchime! All skill levels are welcome!

All materials for this project, including tea for sipping, will be provided. Advanced registration is required.

Tickets to this workshop include Museum admission for the day.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact deCordova 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
