About Kiddos in the Kitchen
Join us for Kiddos in the Kitchen! After a busy summer filled with young chefs in our Farmer, Forester, Chef! camp, the Powisset Kitchen is missing the laughter, creativity, and excitement of our campers. That’s why we’re inviting your little food lovers back for a fun-filled Saturday afternoon of cooking and discovery!
As summer winds down, Powisset Farm is bursting with fresh vegetables from our Children’s Garden. Kiddos will harvest inspiration from the season’s bounty while learning new kitchen skills, trying fresh ingredients, and creating delicious recipes from scratch.
The back-to-school season can be busy, but learning doesn’t have to stay in the classroom! This hands-on cooking class encourages creativity, confidence, and curiosity in the kitchen. Best of all, each child will take home recipes to share with family and recreate together at home.
We can’t wait to welcome your young chef into the kitchen for an afternoon of fun, learning, and tasty treats!
Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day.
Included in this program:
- Cooking demonstrations with hands-on learning
- Instruction from an experienced instructor
- Recipes and seedlings to take home
- The opportunity to enjoy the food you created
This drop-off class is designed for children ages 6-11. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact powissetfarm@thetrustees.org 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
