deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is thrilled to host a very special evening with legendary singer-songwriter Ellis Paul as part of the deCordova Performance Series.
Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs, he tells stories that stay with you. A true troubadour, he captures the hopes, loves, and losses of everyday life and transforms them into music that feels both deeply personal and widely resonant.
Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Woody Guthrie, Paul blends intimate storytelling with broader social themes, creating songs that are as timely as they are timeless.
Born and raised in Maine, Paul got his start in the Boston music scene while attending Boston College, eventually breaking through after winning the Boston Acoustic Underground competition. Since then, he has released more than 20 albums, toured internationally, and built a fiercely loyal following. His songs have appeared in major films and have been recorded by artists including Sugarland, Kristian Bush, and Jack Ingram.
A recipient of numerous honors, including 15 Boston Music Awards and the Kerrville New Folk Award, Paul continues to evolve as both a songwriter and performer. His recent work reflects on resilience, gratitude, and connection in a complicated world.
Concert begins at 6:30 PM | Doors open at 5:00 PM
The concert will take place outdoors on the front lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and make yourself comfortable. In the event of rain, the performance will move inside the Museum.
