About Tattapanum Trail Nature Walk – Session 1

Join the Trustees’ Mobile Adventures for a guided nature walk for children and families at the Tattapanum Trail! This is a free outdoor experience by the Trustees Urban Outdoors Team in cooperation with the City of Fall River, designed to introduce Fall River youth to local nature trails in the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve.

First time at the Tattapanum Trail? Families can expect a hands-on experience touching and interacting with nature while being led by knowledgeable Outdoor Educators. This is an easy-moderate walk along the Tattapanum Trail – a 1 mile loop trail. This walk is on dirt trails with slight inclines in some areas. You can expect semi-rocky terrain and exposed roots in some areas of the trail. Magnifying glasses, microscopes and binoculars will be provided to best appreciate plants, fungi and signs of wildlife!

Please review the following information before completing your registration:

• Bug spray, tick removers and first aid materials will be available to all participants.
• There are no bathrooms on the trail.
• Water will be provided.
• Closed toed shoes are strongly recommended.
• Pets are not permitted on the trail.
• This event will occur Rain or Shine!
• In the case of rain, rain gear will not be provided, and participants must dress appropriately to stay dry! We encourage them to bring their own boots and raincoats/umbrellas.

Transportation: When registering please select whether you will be driving yourself or taking the trolley. Please review the following options.

• Parking: Free Parking is available at the entrance to the trailhead, located at 1341-1555 Wilson Rd. in Fall River. Free trolley transportation will also be provided on a first-come basis for up to the first 32 registrants.
• Free Transportation: Free trolley transportation is provided if you select this option. This option is available to the first 32 registrations. If you select to use this option please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session to board the trolley in time.
