About Garden Month by Month Tour: Tree Peonies

In tribute to Mabel Cabot Sedgwick, we proudly present our new specialty series, ‘Garden Month by Month Tour,’ offering a focused exploration of different areas of the gardens throughout the seasons.

Step into a breathtaking display of history and horticulture with our Garden Month by Month Tour: Tree Peonies, showcasing a remarkable collection that began with Marjorie Sedgwick’s passion for these exquisite blooms. The first tree peony was planted in 1941, still blooming beautifully today, and over the years, many more have been carefully added, creating a stunning garden oasis. This guided tour, lead by Senior Horticulturist Dan Bouchard, offers a rare glimpse into a legacy of botanical beauty and the dedication behind its growth.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Sturdy, comfortable shoes are recommended.
