About Eco-Art Wellness: Family Circles

Engage with the gentle, yet powerful voices of nature and art to better understand yourself and those you hold dear. Celebrate this season of gathering and gratitude through the hands-on creation of mandalas. Led by artist and eco-art therapist Beth Adoette, participants will celebrate the people who make up “family” at this moment, either through friendship, love, or kindred spirit.

Create a personal work of art that celebrates the people in your life using nature objects that capture their individual spirits. This workshop will provide participants with a unique, memorable, and positive experience for learning and connection.

All materials are provided. Ages 10+.

Please note: Nature mandalas are ephemeral and will not be taken home. Photographs are encouraged.

About the Artist:

Beth grew up in the Appalachian Mountains with hemlocks, streams, and chickadees in her hands. Once an editorial illustrator, Beth has returned to her love of nature and now concentrates on illustrating, photographing, and writing about nature and nature mandalas.

After completing her certification in eco-art therapy, Beth began designing and facilitating a variety of public and private art wellness mandala workshops for organizations, schools, private groups.

Beth holds a BFA in Fine Arts and has received her certification in Eco-Art Therapy through Portland State University (OR), and Project Nature Connect.

This program is part of our Crafting Nature series. The Crafting Nature series connects the public with artists and art historians to explore the natural world and craft, offering an intimate connection to incredibly accomplished makers and insight into the process of their creativity.
