As the most dedicated group of Trustees supporters, the Founders Circle shapes the future of our organization. Giving our Founders Circle members up-to-date information, through resources like our new Founders Circle events page, answering questions, and providing additional benefits is our top priority. Thank you for being a member of the Founders Circle!
Whether you have a question about summer concert series dates, how to get OSV permits on Nantucket or the Vineyard, or want to learn more about our Boston Waterfront Initiative, Quinn Divens is your personal liaison to all things Trustees.
“I am extremely fortunate to work with the Founders Circle. Meeting community members who care so deeply about this organization is a privilege and a pleasure,” Quinn said. “It’s been incredible meeting those members who have just joined and those who have been a part of our leadership giving societies for 20 and 30 years. This community is foundational to the success of The Trustees.”
Quinn joined The Trustees in 2021 as an assistant to the artistic and business directors at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum before joining the Founders Circle team earlier this year. With a master’s degree in art history and experience working at both the Smithsonian and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Quinn came to The Trustees with a love of art and museums as tools for building community and inviting vital conversations.
“I grew up visiting what is now called Newfields in Indianapolis, an art museum tucked into a beautifully designed landscape, so coming to deCordova felt a lot like being home again,” Quinn said. “deCordova is captivating. There’s always something new to discover, both indoors and outdoors.”
Following her time at deCordova, Quinn has taken on an expanded role with The Trustees by joining the Founders Circle team and working closely with our foundational annual supporters.
“The more I have learned about our organization, the more I have fallen in love with it,” she said.
Whether it’s exploring our beaches on Martha’s Vineyard or hiking Rocky Woods in Medfield, Quinn said she loves discovering the variety of Trustees places and programs, especially when she can do so alongside members of the Founders Circle.
“It’s fulfilling to spend time with the people who have nurtured such deep connections to the places in our care,” Quinn said. “Everyone that I meet sees their favorite Trustees property as a special place that they can share with friends and loved ones.”
On a recent visit to Crane Beach during one of the first warm days of spring, Quinn said that being surrounded by so many people out and enjoying nature allowed her to see the property in a new light.
“It put everything that we do into perspective—our collective dedication to preserving these incredible places ensures that everyone will be able enjoy the natural and cultural wonders of Massachusetts in perpetuity.”
Another focus of Quinn’s is creating more Founders Circle gatherings and added benefits for Founders Circle members at our signature events. Save your spot to meet John Judge, our new president and CEO, at our Powisset Farm reception on May 12, and don’t miss our annual South End Summer Stroll on June 18.
