May 21 is Trustees of Reservations Day in Massachusetts! To celebrate, we’re releasing a specialty license plate for anyone with a passenger vehicle registered in the state. A portion of each pre-order goes directly towards our efforts to protect and preserve the irreplaceable landscapes and landmarks that make Massachusetts the place you want to call home.

“We are always looking for creative ways to increase awareness and sustain our work to conserve and connect people to the outdoors,” said Katie Theoharides, president and CEO of The Trustees. “These new specialty license plates would let Massachusetts residents visibly show their support for The Trustees and the proceeds would help fund conservation and protection of special places for everyone to enjoy.”

Each specialty plate not only serves as a visible display of support for preserving the state’s natural beauty but also directly funds vital on-the-ground conservation efforts. Plus, a part of every initial plate purchase—and every two-year registration renewal—is tax-deductible since it goes directly to The Trustees.

You also do not have to be a Trustees Member to pre-order a plate; Any Massachusetts resident with a passenger car registered in the state is eligible. However, we encourage you to become a Member—or renew your Membership—so you can show off your specialty plate while visiting more than 120 Trustees special places across the state.

A total of 3,000 pre-orders are required before the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) can begin manufacturing the specialty plates, so it may take some time before supporters will receive their new plates.
