Holiday Markets
Fruitlands Museum, Dec. 2-3: At Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, a festive holiday market will feature vendors spread through the museum shop building and Wayside Gallery. Vendors will offer high quality handmade local crafts including jewelry, pottery, glass, wood, fiber arts, photography, mixed media, and more. Admission is free for Trustees members and $5 for non-members. Members and guests will also enjoy a 10 percent discount in the museum shop.
Winter Market at Appleton Farms in Hamilton and Ipswich, Dec. 9: At this free event, celebrate the holiday season at a special farmers market, featuring curated gift ideas, organic winter vegetables, and fresh baked goods from our own Farm Store along with a selection of other local foods and gifts from area artisans, crafters, and producers of fine foods. Appleton’s culinary team also will be ready for visitors with its famous wood-fired pizzas and farmhouse baked goods.
Museum and Farm Stores
deCordova Store Trunk Show – Kei and Molly, Dec. 2 – Stop by the Museum Store at Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln for his special trunk show with Kei and Molly, who produce artisan quality textiles while providing good jobs, skills and support for recent immigrants and refugees in their community.
Holiday Shopping at Powisset Farm Store in Dover, Dec. 2-23 – Stop by the Farm Store at Powisset Farm Thursdays through Saturdays to stock up on interesting, curated holiday baskets and food and drink gifts. Special sampling events, face-painting and sales are also planned. Different specials each day. Check event listing for more details.
deCordova Store Trunk Show – Pandemonium and Diana Acuesta, Dec. 3 – Come check out faux fur accessories from Pandemonium, a Seattle-based business, and jewelry from Portland, Oregon, designer Diana Acuesta. Both will be featured in this trunk sale at the Museum Store at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.
Holiday Wine Tasting for Gifting and Celebrating at Weir River Farm, Dec. 14 – Guided by local expert, Debi LaRocca, enjoy a selection of spirited wines perfect for holiday entertaining and gifting, paired with Trustees-curated cheeses and charcuterie. This workshop is equal parts fun and educational, perfect for both the seasoned and the novice wine-taster. For delicious entertaining at your own holiday party, we make it easy to share your new knowledge with friends and family. At the end of the night, participants can pick up a pre-ordered “New England Cheese Board” kit featuring an assortment of The Trustees’ three bestselling local cheeses, crackers, mustard, jam, meat or vegan salami, and apples.
Online Store
The Trustees also maintains an online store with gift ideas ranging from local art to products sold at Trustees farm and museum stores statewide. Guests can access all the Trustees stores through the online store and order products from Naumkeag, Castle Hill at Crane Estate, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and Fruitlands Museum, to name a few.
