Two unique summer camps at Weir River Farm and World's End.
The Trustees offers two unique summer camp options at its signature properties in Hingham. Weir River Farm is a 75-acre historic farm with fields and pastures surrounded by oak and red cedar woodlands and edged by the Weir River. World’s End is a 400-acre peninsula with varied coastal, woodland, and salt marsh habitats complemented by rolling hills and panoramic water views. Our camps for ages 5–14 are inspired by these exceptional properties and build on The Trustees’ expertise in nature conservation, historic landscapes, regenerative agriculture, and coastal management.
Registration for everyone opens on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 12PM.

Camp Registration
At each location campers enjoy outdoor, place-based activities that align with our environmental education mission. Campers will go home each afternoon with stories about their new camp friends and adventures!
Weir River Farm Camp
Campers spend time in the barnyard throughout each week, interacting with and learning to care for goats, sheep, chickens, and other farm friends. They develop gardening skills and fresh food appreciation in the Children’s Garden. They explore the surrounding woodland habitats, learning about local wildlife along the way. Each week also includes creative play, organized games, and enriching arts and crafts projects designed to instill the importance of agriculture and the environment.
World’s End Camp
Campers spend each day exploring the rocky shores, beaches, fields, and woodlands of this unique peninsula habitat. Campers discover the plants, animals, sea life, and minerals that call this place home – and learn about the delicate balance that supports all living things. The Wakeman O’Donnell Center acts as our home base, providing shelter and opportunities for science activities. Creative projects, active games, friendship building, and fun are also part of every camp day.
South Shore Camps are designed for campers who love the outdoors, caring for farm animals, getting their hands dirty, identifying sea creatures along the coast, connecting to the land, being independent learners, using their imagination, and tapping into their resilience no matter the weather. A team of talented, compassionate, and energetic educators support campers in their quest to connect to the natural world and find their place within it.

What You Need to Register
Please have the following ready to proceed to registration:
Camp Groupings
Campers are grouped by age at the time camp starts. Group sizes allow for campers to interact with their peers and meet the state staffing requirements. Therefore, buddy requests are not necessary, as campers in the same age range will be together all week.
Refund, Cancellation, and Session Change Policy
Due to the high demand for camp and the complexities of registration administration, please select your camp weeks carefully. Refunds are not given for camper dismissal, failure to attend, absence, or sick days. Pro-rated refunds will be offered if camp is not able to open due to extreme weather.
Licensure
South Shore Camps comply with all regulations required by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the Hingham Board of Health. Parents have the right to request and review the following policies: background check, health care, discipline policies and grievance procedures.
Nature as a playground: building tents in the forest, crab hotels, watching animals. Great knowledge about animals/nature.
