Join us for Kiddos in the Kitchen! As the days grow shorter and the seasons change, we’re welcoming young chefs back to the Powisset Kitchen for an afternoon of cooking, creativity, and discovery.
This time of year is all about cozy flavors and simple, satisfying foods. Kiddos will get hands-on with seasonal ingredients while learning kitchen skills, exploring where our food comes from, and creating delicious recipes from scratch. In celebration of National Butter Day on November 17, we’ll also make our own butter the old-fashioned way and enjoy the fruits of our labor!
Cooking is a wonderful way for kids to build confidence, practice creativity, and discover the joy of making something with their own two hands. Each young chef will leave with new skills, delicious treats, and recipes to bring home and recreate with family.
Come spend a cozy fall afternoon in the Powisset Kitchen, where good food, hands-on learning, and a little bit of kitchen fun are always on the menu!
Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day.
This drop-off class is designed for children ages 6-11. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.
Cancellation Policy: In the event that a program is canceled due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible by email and issue you a full refund or transfer into another program within 14 days of the cancellation. If you cannot attend a program as planned, contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be granted for registration cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
