About Fairy House & Gnome Homes in the Sunflower Field

Calling all flower fairies and garden gnomies! Join us to create a nature-based fairy house or gnome home to be displayed along our secret trail in the sunflower field. We’ll start the class with a short story time on fairy houses, followed by kids searching for flowers and other natural materials. We’ll then combine what we find with items our staff has collected such as bark, twigs, moss, and other fun items for building to create one of a kind fairy houses or gnome homes! Come dressed in your favorite fairy wings, garden hats, or magical costumes for extra fun!

Each pair will also clip 5 sunflowers of their picking to take home with them.

This program is recommended for ages 4 and up. This is a parent/guardian program and children cannot be left unattended. Pre-registration encouraged as space is limited.

This is a weather-dependent program and will not run in inclement weather. You will be notified day of by e-mail if this program will not run.

Program Refunds/Cancellations: In the event that a program is cancelled due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible by email and issue you a full refund within 14 days of the cancellation. If you cannot attend a program as planned, contact thefarminstitute@thetrustees.org at least 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund or transfer to another date/class. Refunds and/or class transfers will not be granted for registration cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. There are no refunds for missed classes.
