Join Ranger Robert for a one-hour easy-paced wildlife identification hike at Bartholomew’s Cobble. Learn how to identify the animals that live in the area by examining tracks, scat, fur, bones, game trails, and other signs of wildlife activity found throughout the landscape.
During the program, participants will explore the ecology of local wildlife species and learn how scientists and naturalists study animal behavior and habitat use. Robert will also share wildlife game camera footage and demonstrate track molding techniques, giving participants a hands-on look at the tools used in wildlife research and identification.
This program is perfect for families, hikers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about the hidden wildlife around them. Water, sunscreen, a hat, and a mosquito face shield are recommended for comfort during the hike.
