Join us for an evening walk at Noanet Woodlands Reservation to see the spring wildflowers and other signs of the start of the growing season. Noanet Woodlands is a nearly 600 acre landscape with a variety of habitat and use history. We will be keeping an eye out for early flowers such as pink lady’s slipper orchids, wild geranium, jack-in-the-pulpit, and more! Other points of interest include the site of a former Dover Union Iron Company mill and a view of the Boston skyline from Noanet Peak.
This event involves walking on moderately difficult trails with uneven surfaces, rocks, roots, steep inclines, and mud. The walk will be roughly 2 ½ miles with frequent stops, and last roughly 60 minutes. Bring sturdy footwear that you don’t mind getting muddy, water, snacks, layers, and a camera or notebook to record the unique plants we come across!
Advance registration is required. This free program is led by TerraCorps Member, Henry Greene. Any questions? Reach out to henry.greene@thetrustees.org. In the event of inclement weather, we have held a rain date for Monday, May 18. Any schedule changes will be shared to registered guests via email.
