Celebrate the start of the gardening season! The 49th Annual Gardeners’ Gathering brings Boston-area growers of all kinds together for a free day full of informative workshops, engaging exhibitors, networking, and inspiration.

¡Celebre el inicio de la temporada de jardinería! La 49º Reunión Anual de Jardineros reúne a productores de todo tipo del área de Boston para un día gratuito lleno de talleres informativos, expositores atractivos, networking e inspiración.

Workshops

The event will feature an array of garden skills workshops, and a day long exhibitor’s hall with opportunities to network with local urban agriculture and garden groups. There will be at least one workshop each session that is offered in Spanish or with Spanish translation.

Workshops include:

Recycling in Boston Comprehensive, Know Your Rights in the Garden, Cultivating Apple Trees for Cider, Starting and Storing Sweet Potatoes, Creating a Seedling Setup at Home, Beekeeping, Seed Saving and Seed Libraries, Raising Chickens & Pigeons, Herbal Remedies, Ferments, Mitigating Led Exposure in Gardens, and more.

Talleres

El evento contará con una variedad de talleres de técnicas de jardinería y una sala de expositores de un día de duración con oportunidades para establecer contactos con grupos locales de agricultura urbana y jardinería. Habrá al menos un taller por sesión que se ofrecerá en español o con traducción al español.

Keynote

The conference will kick off with a keynote panel of four Youth Agricultural Scientists – Ryan Santiago, 18; Agnes Frias, 26; Breeaisha Cobbins, 17; and Kim Thu, 16 – in conversation with Anna Muhammad, food access director of Northeast Organic Farming Association on their research on soil healing, and their visions of our future food system.
