The annual Daffodil & Tulip Festival at Naumkeag will open this year on April 18, ushering in spring with a panoply of colorful blooms. Naumkeag, the Gilded Age Berkshire “cottage” owned by The Trustees, is renowned for its landscape architecture and elegant gardens. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the festival Thursdays through Sundays through May 10. The festival will also take place on Patriots Day, April 20.
Timed entry tickets are now on sale on The Trustees’ website at www.thetrustees.org/program/spring-bulb-shows. Tickets are $15 for Members and $25 for nonmembers ages 16 and up. Children 15 and under are admitted for free. The festival opens each day at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.
This year, Naumkeag will again offer two Teatime events as a special add-on purchase. Teatime will be offered on Mother’s Day weekend, May 8-10, and again the weekend after the festival, May 16-17, when guests can also enjoy the site’s peonies in bloom. Teatime reservations can be booked through The Trustees’ website. Naumkeag tulip, daffodil, and Muscari bulbs are available for purchase on the Festival’s webpage for fall delivery.
Food, snacks, and drinks will be available during the festival at the Naumkeag concession stand. Guests may also tour the first floor of Naumkeag and visit its gift shop during the festival.
The festival occurs rain or shine. Only unsafe or extreme weather may cancel that day’s event. If the event is canceled, guests will be notified by email and receive further information regarding a refund or rebook.
