At a time when our planet faces unprecedented challenges, For Everyone, Forever provides a roadmap to conserve special places throughout the Commonwealth.
Today, our natural world faces urgent, growing threats from habitat loss, climate change, and human activity, which have the potential to significantly degrade the quality of life in our communities. As stewards of the land, we have a responsibility—and an opportunity—to rise to this occasion by increasing the amount of land we care for, inspiring even more people to get outside and join us in this work, and strengthening the impact and capacity of our staff to drive our mission forward.

For Everyone, Forever
For Everyone, Forever, our new five-year strategic plan, outlines our commitment to save, steward, and share the special places of Massachusetts so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
We will increase our pace of land conservation sixfold by protecting large landscapes and new reservations and by expanding our urban conservation work to several new cities.
We will care for the properties entrusted to us and provide spaces where nature, wildlife, and people can thrive forever.
We will showcase nature-based climate solutions that build climate resilience and reduce our own emissions to become increasingly net negative. We will share best practices, develop innovative policy and on-the-ground solutions, and inspire others to take action.
We will grow our Membership, forge new partnerships, and expand access for visitors of all needs and backgrounds.
We will strengthen our operations and culture to increase the impact and capacity of our staff to drive our mission forward, and to ensure that The Trustees is a great place to work.
For Katie Theoharides, President & CEO of The Trustees, and Tom French, Chair of the Trustees Board of Directors, advancing the goals articulated in our new strategic plan, For Everyone, Forever is a collaborative effort. We caught up with them at Ward Reservation in Andover to hear their thoughts on how our new strategic plan will move The Trustees forward.
We look forward to sharing more details around our strategic initiatives later this year.
