This program is part of a monthly series featuring guided walking tours at different Trustees properties across Southeast Massachusetts. Each month we explore a new location, offering a fun way to discover the region’s landscapes and stories.
Experience the serene beauty of Norris Reservation on a guided walking tour!
Led by an experienced guide, this walk will take you along forested trails, winding riverside paths, and past iconic landmarks like the old boathouse overlooking the North River. Along the way, you’ll learn about the natural history that makes Norris such a treasured place.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to a longtime favorite spot, this tour offers a deeper appreciation for the diverse habitats, wildlife, and history found throughout Norris Reservation.
This 2‑hour moderate walk will lead visitors through mixed woodlands, boardwalk areas, and scenic river overlooks, with pauses to take in views, discuss the ecology of the site, and explore the unique character of this beloved Trustees property. Trails are generally well‑maintained and mostly level, with some sections of uneven terrain and gentle slopes.
The hike will begin and end at the Norris Reservation parking lot located at 12 Dover Street, Norwell, following a loop that highlights many of the property’s most beautiful and interesting features.
