About City Natives Workshop – Foraging and Herbalism with Milly

Each month City Natives will be hosting a different skill building workshop at our native plant nursery.

Milly and Me Apothecary presents: A wild edible forage/ Plant ID walk in and around City Natives. We will meet at city Natives and walk the land inside the property and I identify some of the “weeds” as we may know them. We will properly identify each plant and learn a bit about it’s medical and nutritional benefits. We will discuss ethical and safe foraging practices especially for urban areas, forage a few plants and discuss what participants would like to or will do with their new foraged finds at home.

City Natives Plant Nursery is located at 30 Edgewater Dr. in Mattapan, a short walk from the Mattapan center bus and trolley stop. Street parking is also available. This workshop will take place during our weekly free food distribution initiative hosted by PanLyfe. Participants are invited to walk the grounds of the nursery before or after the workshop.
