About Fundamentals of Nordic Skiing Clinic at Appleton Farms
Join two-time Olympic ski jumper, Brendan Doran, at Appleton Farms to expand your understanding and skills at this Fundamentals of Nordic Skiing Clinic, all while enjoying the winter beauty of the farm. We will explore how functional positioning affects balance, weight transfer, glide and momentum- all of which are necessary skills to safely navigate the Appleton Farms Nordic experience! Designed for all levels of skiers, this clinic will give both group instruction and individual feedback to gain confidence before heading out onto the trails.
Brendan Doran competed in ski jumping for the United States at the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. He was on the US national team from 1994-2002. Doran won the 2000 US title on the K-88 hill in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He also won a Continental Cup event in 1995 at Westby, Wisconsin.
This clinic will be one hour long and will include skiing over some hilly and uneven terrain. Guests must provide all of their own ski equipment and winter gear. Boots and skis will not be available to rent. Participating in outdoor recreational activities is at your own risk.
