Enjoy a spring day at Powisset Farm with a guided hike led by author, Mia Wenjen, and a cooking class with Chef Maria.
Powisset Pals will join author, Mia Wenjen, in reading “Food for the Future” on a guided StoryWalk® hike around our Meadow Loop trail. Following the hike, pals will head into the Powisset Kitchen to make fresh spring-inspired bites with Chef Maria.
Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day.

This drop-off class is designed for children ages 7-11. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact powissetfarm@thetrustees.org 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. As a general policy, The Trustees does not issue refunds for weather-shortened programs, in keeping with our standard approach to outdoor programs and the unpredictability of New England weather.
