About 50th Annual Gardeners' Gathering
Join us for the 50th Gardeners’ Gathering!
March 21st, 10am-5pm at Northeastern University Curry Student Center, 360 Huntington Ave Boston.
Free and Open to All
The Gathering is a free gardening conference that brings Boston-area growers of all kinds together for a free day full of informative workshops, engaging exhibitors, networking, and inspiration.
This year the gathering is welcomed in at 10am by
- Mayor of Boston Michelle Wu
- The Trustees CEO Katie Theoharides
- Northeastern VP John Tobin
- Boston’s first black and female mayor, and President of Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath) Kim Janey
- An exhibit of archival photos of the gardens over the last 50 years
- A debut screening of “50 Years in the Garden” a short film showcasing a collection of interviews of garden elders and visionaries.
At 12pm lunch will be served from BibimBox food truck or The Market in the bottom floor of the Curry Center
Lunch is also the perfect time to explore over 30 Boston urban agriculture and advocacy organizations that are joining us to celebrate this special year for gardening in the City of Boston!
From 1pm to 5pm
Three time slots of workshop panels will take place at 1pm, 2:20pm, and 3:40pm. Talks will be about an hour long with time between for passing and mingling.
Each time slot will host 4-5 panels to choose from! Some topics included are-

- Learn How to Create a Seedling Set-up at Home

- In Vivo: Live Soil Exploration Under the Microscope
- Beekeeping
- Raising Urban Chickens Pigeons and Quail
- Exploring plant & insect biodiversity in community gardens
This year for the first ever we are undertaking extensive language access at the event!
There will be live translation and signage between the languages of English, Spanish, Cape Verdean, and Mandarin Chinese

La Reunión es una conferencia gratuita de jardinería que reúne a agricultores de todo tipo del área de Boston en una jornada gratuita llena de talleres informativos, expositores interesantes, oportunidades para establecer contactos e inspiración.

- Una exposición de fotografías de archivo de los jardines durante los últimos 50 años
A las 12pm se servirá el almuerzo en el camión de comida BibimBox o en The Market en el piso inferior del Curry Center.
El almuerzo también es el momento perfecto para explorar más de 30 organizaciones de agricultura y apoyo urbana de Boston que se unen a nosotros para celebrar este año especial de jardinería en la ciudad de Boston.
Se realizarán tres sesiones de talleres a las 1pm, 2:20pm, and 3:40pm. Las charlas durarán aproximadamente una hora, con tiempo para pasando y mezclándose.
