Join us throughout the month of August and explore the natural world through stories and crafts in a landscape that inspired writers and environmentalists! Stop by the historic site for a free pop-up story hour where we’ll read nature inspired children’s books and do a simple craft together.
We’ll be under the shade of the large tree outside the Shaker Office.
Friday August 8: Bees and Pollinators
Friday August 15: Plants and Trees
Friday August 22: Outdoor Explorers
Pre-registration is recommended but not required. This is not a drop-off program – please plan to attend story hour as a group.
This program does not include admission to the historic spaces and collections. Museum admission can be purchased separately here.
Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact Fruitlands Museum 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. As a general policy, The Trustees does not issue refunds for weather-shortened performances, in keeping with our standard approach to outdoor programs and the unpredictability of New England weather.
