About Nature Play & Learn at the Summer Evenings in the Park Free Festival Series

Join the Trustees’ Mobile Adventures at the Summer Evenings in the Park, a free festival series happening at different Fall River city parks every Wednesday night this summer! Find us at Kelly Park for this week’s festival on Wednesday 7/16 for FREE nature play & learning!

From 5:30-8pm get ready to branch out – because it’s Plant Week! We’re digging into the amazing world of plants and petals, so expect to get hands-on with real fresh plants harvested from New Bedford’s own Haskell Public Gardens. From smell tests to seed investigations, we have a full lineup of unique nature activities to grow your curiosity!

This week’s Mobile Adventure includes activities like:

  • Nature Bling – Make your own nature bracelets using real plants!
  • Tree Time Travelers – Learn to read tree rings
  • Flower Power Dissection Lab – open up flowers and other plants to see how they work
  • Seed Detectives – Matching seeds to their plants using your detective skills
  • Smell & Tell – Mystery scent station
  • Leaf Art – Leaf rubbing art
  • Pollinator Relay Race
  • …and more plant-powered fun!

This set of unique activities is designed for curious kids and plant nerds of all ages. Don’t miss this chance to leaf your mark, so don’t miss this Mobile Adventure!
