About Little Sprouts in the Garden: Pollinator Story Trail

Engage your curious budding gardener or adventurer in our new Little Sprouts in the Garden series to connect your child with the natural world around us.

Take a leisurely walk through the gardens and Helen’s meadow to Celebrate Pollinator Month with a colorful and educational self-guided story trail featuring the picture book Flowers are Calling by Rita Gray.

Along the Story Trail, families can engage and learn about pollinators while reading this story told by fun things found in the garden. Along the path, pages of the book are displayed on signs, encouraging participants to:

  • Explore the wonders of natural cooperation between plants, animals and insects.
  • Learn fun facts flowers found throughout a garden

This program is perfect for families, school groups, and curious nature-lovers of all ages. This is a free and self-guided program. It is available daily during open hours—enjoy the walk at your own pace!
